Fatty's Burgers & More is a family-owned restaurant that began over ten years ago in San Antonio, Texas. Since then, we have consistently been named one of the top burgers in Texas. Now, Fatty's has expanded outside of Texas for the first time and is open in Chicago.

Our concept is simple - we make Bigger, Better Burgers! We offer 13 specialty burgers including the original Fatty's Burger, a 1/2 lb. of fresh 100% beef covered with cheese and topped with lettuce, onions, pickles, tomato, mayo, and mustard. Our signature burgers include the Free Agent (fried egg, grilled onions, grilled tomatoes, and wasabi mayo), the MVP Burger (bacon, avocado, and cheddar cheese), and the Knockout Jalapeno Burger (grilled jalapenos, grilled onions, and American cheese). For real burger lovers, Fatty's ultimate burger is The Lineman, 1 lb. of juicy, cheese-topped deliciousness. Each of Fatty's burgers is served on Fatty's unique bun and includes delicious seasoned hand-cut fries that are made in-house every day.

What makes your burgers so special?
Our burgers are priced with both quality and value in mind. Our bun is imported from a small family owned bakery in Texas that has been working with Fatty’s for over 12 years. Our burgers weigh 8 ounces and are made fresh daily by a local, family owned chop house. Our French Fries are also made fresh daily and are included in the price of every burger (at Lincoln Park location). And all of our burgers are made fresh when you order them. When you come to Fatty’s, you get a high quality, homemade meal in less than 12 minutes.
Do you have any beef alternatives?
While we pride ourselves on our Bigger Better Burgers, we offer delicious Turkey Burgers, Grilled Chicken Sandwichs, Grilled Chicken Salads, Garden Salads, and Black Bean Varsity Veggie Burgers as beef alternatives.
Since your burgers are bigger, what do you have for kids or those young at heart?
We offer a delicious Grilled Cheese Sandwich made with our Fatty’s special bun. You can add a variety of extra ingredients including bacon and ham. Our Killer Grilled Cheese & Soup Combo is one of the best in the area.
Why is your restaurant so small?
Because we are a new business in Chicago, we had to start small, and the corner of Drummond and Clark seemed like the best place to launch a new concept. This corner has been the launching pad of two Chicago favorites: Ann Sather and Gramophone Records. As we continue to grow, we hope to be able to raise the capital to expand our dining area.
Every once in a while, you are closed unexpectedly. Why is that?
There have been a few occasions when we’ve had to close because we have sold out of our buns. Our buns are shipped to us directly from Texas, where a small family ­owned bakery makes them. Because we have little storage space and are a new business, it is a struggle to anticipate how many buns are needed. Occasionally, we sell more burgers than we planned and sell out of buns. It wouldn’t be a Fatty’s Burger without our special bun, so we have to close until we get our next shipment.
Why don’t you serve alcohol or allow BYOB?
Unfortunately, the owner of our building won't allow us to serve alcohol or be BYOB. We hope to be able to open additional locations in the future where we can serve alcohol.
